The assault gun variant of the Panzer Mk V Panther, using the sloping armour and chassis shape of what was arguably the best German tank of the war.
The Jadgpanther was primarily used as a tank destroyer in the defensive battles which marked the long retreat of the Whermacht from 1943 onwards.

The Mk VIb King Tiger tank was made famous by its use in the 1944 Ardennes offensive and in the film 'The Battle of the Bulge' starring Robert Shaw which told the story of the offensive.
Essentially it married the firepower and armour thickness of the Mk VIa Tiger with the sloping armour of the Mk V Panther, making it almost impenetrable to allied tanks.
The King Tiger was only produced in small numbers from 1944 onwards and arrived too late in the day to make much impact on the course of the war.
